ABOUT THE DVA
|

Davenport Valley Archers (DVA) has been an organized archery club since 1967, and is incorporated in the State of Iowa. We support and encourage all types of archery. We are affiliated with the Iowa State Archery Association (ISAA) and the National Field Archery Association (NFAA).
The club hosts a number of bowhunter, field, and target archery tournaments each year. Our indoor range is located in Devil's Glen Park, Bettendorf, Iowa. This range is open on a weekly schedule from the first of September until the end of May. Activities include indoor tournaments and leagues that include a kids league, open shooting on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and archery classes on request for groups or organizations such as Scout troops. Our outdoor range is located 4/10th of a mile west of Long Grove, Iowa. It has a 35-target 3-D range, a 14-target field range, practice ranges, and primitive camping. Bowhunter shoots are held monthly April through September, with the last being a broadhead shoot. Field tournaments are held in conjunction with the bowhunters shoots from June through August. The August shoot is a two-day shoot with novelty events and a hog roast. Members are encouraged to camp and make a weekend of these shoots. DVA is also one of four sponsors of the Eastern Iowa Traveling Shoot, which will be held this year at the Davenport Valley Archers' outdoor range in Long Grove, IA.
We welcome non-members to come and participate in all of our shoots and open shooting sessions, or just come to the ranges and learn more about our club.

Follow Interstate 80 in Iowa to Exit 295. Take Highway 61 north to Exit 129, Park View/Long Grove. Turn west on Highway 61 toward Long Grove. At the "T" intersection, take a jog to the left, then to the right to go around the church and cemetery. Follow the street to the stop sign. A ball diamond and school will be ahead on the right side. Go half a block to 270th Street and turn west. Go 0.4 miles and turn left onto the gravel lane at the DVA sign.

Follow Interstate 74 in Iowa to Exit 4 (last exit in Iowa before crossing Mississippi River) or follow Interstate 74 in Illinios and cross Mississippi River into Iowa (take first exit in Iowa). These exits are Highway 67 and also State Street in Bettendorf, which is a one-way street. Follow Highway 67/State Street one-way east through downtown Bettendorf past the Clark station, police and fire station, and Isle of Capri Riverboat on right to McDonald's on the left, just before the road becomes two-way. Continue on Highway 67 (two-way street) and begin looking for green and white or blue and white street signs. Look for the sign that says "Devil's Glen Road" and turn left onto Devil's Glen Road at the stop light between a Phillips 66 station and a CarX Muffler Shop. Proceed uphill over Duck Creek bridge (approximately one block) and turn east into Devil's Glen Park at the park sign just past the bridge. Follow the only road (winding and uphill) in the park until turning south, heading back downhill toward the river. On the right is a gray, two-story building with a parking lot in front and a ball diamond behind. The range is in the middle of the building, first floor, on the north side of the building.
