DVA Members:
Sean Yetz, our VP Target, has organized a 600 round target league to be held at our outdoor range (west of Long Grove, Iowa). The times will be Tuesday mornings at 9AM and evenings at 6PM and will run for 6 weeks. Tom Stelk will be running the morning leagues (Tom has noted that if bad weather occurs, then call him for details at 563-340-0354), and Sean Yetz (309-798-1905) will run the evening shooting. The start will be this coming Tuesday, May 3rd. Makeup scores are allowed (contact Tom or Sean for details). If you are late arriving, that is OK, too.
This league shoot will consist of shooting 20 arrows at each of the three distances (40-yard, 50-yard, and 60-yard) at a large 48" multi-colored target, with scoring rings ranging from 1 to 10 points. Maximum total score is 600 points (assuming 60 arrows with all being 10-point bullseyes). All archers will shoot from the same shooting line at the three distances that are part of our existing practice range. It takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to shoot a score. Hope you come out and enjoy this league shooting. We expect and welcome shooters with all kinds of equipment (long bows/scoped bows, arrows, etc.) and abilities, and have lots of fun, with sometimes good food, too. Cost is $5.00 per week. You can pay on-site each week.
